Music is such a powerful tool; it helps express our feelings when words don’t do justice. Besides the emotional connection to music, whether it’s the beat, rhythm, melody, or single lyric, it really bonds us to one another. I mean, I’ve formed so many friendships through my love for varying music genres – whether it’s EDM, singer-songwriter, “chillectric”, reggae, electronic, pop, indie and alternative rock, classic rock, etc. The list goes on and on and on… This month, I’m highlighting some of my favorite (dance) tracks I couldn’t stop listening to in July.

Baila Baila Baila (Remix) Feat. Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Farruko, Anuel AA – Ozuna
This past weekend I was down visiting an old friend (lol @ “old”), and he reminded me of how damn good reggaeton is. Feeling down? Blast some Latino-inspired tracks to get those endorphins going. Try resisting tapping your foot, bobbing your head, or bouncing your shoulder to this bop. I dare you.
When You Leave (Prince Fox Remix) – Nikki Vianna & Matoma
I’m not gonna lie, I kinda really disliked this song when I first listened to it. I was shocked by it because I truly believe Prince Fox is so talented. One of my colleagues told me that her college best friend was best friends with him while growing up and I couldn’t stop but admire how small of a world this is. And Prince Fox liked a selfie of mine on Instagram, so that basically means we’re dating, right???? JK, obviously… I highly recommend giving this song a listen; I think it’ll grow on you just like it did on me.
Talking Body (KREAM Remix) – Tove Lo
I used to be so hype about Tove Lo, but something about he voice just no longer does it for me. However, KREAM’s remix elevates this song so much that her voice doesn’t annoy me. When the beat drops, I can’t help but lose it. It’s one of the best songs to listen to while driving, especially when you’re stuck in traffic so you don’t lose your calm in the worst way possible.
Space for Two (R3HAB Remix) – Mr. Probz
Mr. Probz is so underrated. He’s best known for his song Waves (Robin Shulz Radio Edit), but he deserves more credit than he gets. I think so at least. His voice is incredibly unique and his songs tell powerful stories. This song, in particular, shares substance paired with an amazing melody; R3HAB really nailed the remix. (He always does.)
Love Me Less (feat. Quinn XCII) – MAX
I’ve sung my heart out countless times to this song while driving to work at 7:45 AM this summer. The song is addicting and just so happens to showcase two rising artists that I’ve enjoyed listening to for the past few years. Would you love me less? Doubtful.
