After taking a *spontaneous* road trip with my family to Nashville, Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; I had reconnected with my folk/indie/alternative “roots.” And so, my May 2017 playlist was born.
Due to a cute local that I had connected with while down in Nashville, I had discovered more of The Head and the Heart. After listening to quite a few of their songs, I truly believe I have fallen in love with music again. In short, the thirst for new music is real. And by music, I have to say, I mean real talent: talent that singer-songwriters possess, and especially that of the individuals down South. I did my due diligence and compiled some of these talented musicians’ music for y’all to listen to.
